A legacy spanning more than half a century...

It was the year of 1956; in a small shoe factory in Johnston Street, Collingwood that Batsanis was established. Arthur Batsanis learnt his meticulous shoe making and repairing skills whilst serving in the Greek army.  Arthur was, hand manufacturing quality, bespoke footwear for men and children. Batsanis Shoes quickly became a household name that was well respected.

In 1980, Jim Batsanis joined his fathers business.  Jim’s passion, enthusiasm and belief in their product enabled him to generate large wholesale orders from; big named Department Stores and Menswear stores Australia wide.

In 1989, Arthur and Jim moved to a newly built and fully equipped manufacturing plant.  Olga Batsanis proudly became the company’s in house pattern cutter and designer.  Olga’s outstanding abilities lead her to create fashion forward ranges which positively impacted the business.  In 1995, Batsanis became leading manufacturers of Golf Shoes in Australia and South- East Asia.

Between 1994 and 2016 Batsanis owned and operated many retail stores Australia wide and succeeded in their wholesale sector.

HOW TO MEASURE

To measure your feet stand on a level floor with the back of your heels against a straight edge or wall.

FOOT LENGTH

Measure your foot length by placing a ruler flat on the floor straight alongside the inside of your foot from your heel to your toes. Place an object with a flat edge straight across your toes with the edge touching the tip of your longest toe. Take the measurement (in centimeters) from the ruler where the flat edge crosses. This is your foot length measurement.

SELECTING A SHOE SIZE

If your foot measurement is halfway between sizes, select the larger size. You may find one foot is longer than the other, this is quite normal, please use the larger size when making your shoe size selection.
